三吉五吉

三吉者為一至九星之一白貪狼六白武曲八白左輔三星。因一為九星之統領,然六白堅金生八白富土,互為相生。得聯珠相生。而五吉者,三吉之一六八,在上元運取一二三配以六,中元取四五六配以八一,下元取七八九配以一六。玄空理氣盤得此五吉配以外巒水法,為發福之本。
三吉為一六八,三星。
五吉為上元一二三配六八。“一六八二三”。
為中元四五六配八一。“一六八四五”。
為下元七八九配一六。“一六八七九”。
例:丑山未向兼四運,向首及左右兩宮,向星一六及八,以向方得水為吉
The Lucky Three Stars and the Five Stars
Among the nine Stars, Stars 1, 6, and 8 are regarded as Lucky Stars. Star 1 leads the nine Stars. Its Water nature in Five Element is nurtured by Metal of Star 6, which in turn is nurtured by the Earthy Star 8. When appear serially in three adjacent palaces, it is regarded as the Lucky Three Stars pattern.
In Periods of 1, 2 and 3 of the Upper Era, when Stars 1, 2 and 3 are combined with Star 6 and 8, they are referred to as the Lucky Five Stars. Similarly, when the Stars 1 and 8 are combined with Stars 4, 5 and 6 in Period 4, 5 and 6 of the Middle Era; or Stars 1 and 6 with Stars 7, 8 and 9 of the Lower Era, they are also known as the Lucky Five Lucky. When these Stars can be supported by landform or Feng Shui of Water nature in the environment, it is auspicious.
In summary,
The Lucky Three Stars are Stars 1, 6, and 8.
The Lucky Five Stars are
Stars 1, 2, 3, 6 and 8 for the Upper Era;
Stars 4, 5, 6, 1 and 8 for the Middle Era; and
Stars 7, 8, 9, 1 and 6 for the Lower Era.
For Example, in the Substitute Star Chart of a house orientated at Chou sitting Wei facing direction built in Period 4, the Water Stars of the Front (facing palace) and its neighbouring palaces are 1, 6 and 8. When there is “Water” in the external environment of these directional sectors, it is auspicious for the occupants in wealth.
